MENCON personnel have extensive experience successfully operating and managing mines. This experience has been productively utilized by our clients:

Productivity Analysis: Our experience and database provide us with the ability to objectively evaluate a mine's performance:

• Performance audits, including cycle time analysis and equipment availability evaluation, reveal areas where the mine is achieving "best practice", and those areas where improvement is warranted. We provide the client with a comprehensive quantified evaluation of what can be expected, and the steps recommended to get there.

• Mencon has performed value-added studies in mines using longwall, continuous mining, pillaring, dragline, truck/shovel, drill/blast, and highwall mining techniques.

Mine System Review and Design: Mencon provides the capability to totally evaluate the entire make-up of the mining operation and recommend steps to take for optimization:

• The evaluation is undertaken after consultation with local and corporate management.

• Areas analyzed in detail include: safety and compliance, mining conditions, equipment performance and suitability, management structure, staffing, cost performance, product quality, and other site-specific parameters.

Equipment Specification: Due to our exposure across the industry, we are intimately aware of the latest advances in equipment performance and design:

• Be it a longwall system, continuous miner, dragline, or truck, Mencon can assist you with acquiring competitive bids on machinery specifically tailored to your needs.

• Mencon will also provide detailed guidelines for obtaining not only the best deal for the equipment, but for follow-up support, training, and warranty as well.

Other Operations Support Services: We at Mencon also perform:
